Centre for Arrhythmia and Cardiac Pacing of the Department for Cardiovascular Medicine KBCSM (Dr. Pavlović) from July 2015 participates as one of the European Centres in EU-CERT-ICD research.
It is the largest research regarding prevention of sudden cardiac death in Europe. The research was initiated by prof. dr. Markus Zabel from Germany, and is funded by the European Union Health Commission. The aim of the study is to improve the treatment of patients who are at increased risk of sudden cardiac death and to identify additional factors which could better assess the risk of sudden cardiac death in cardiovascular patients.
