\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\nDue to your difficulties, there was an indication for implanting cardioverter defibrillator (ICD)<\/strong><\/p>\nHere you can read all about cardioverter defibrillator (ICD)<\/a><\/p>\nInstructions and the implantation procedure is the same as the implantation of the permanent cardiac pacemaker (see: Instructions for patients when implanting permanent pacemaker<\/a>)<\/u><\/p>\n\n

It is rarely necessary for the patient to briefly receive general anaesthesia (during 3-5 minutes) in order to test some ICD functions. Whether the patient will receive general anaesthesia depends on the diagnosis and assessment of the cardiologist.<\/p>\n

If an arrhythmia is caused during the procedure, it can be successfully interrupted.<\/p>\n
