I was born on January 6th, 1978 in Imotski, where I graduated from elementary school and high school. In 1996, I enrolled at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb, and graduated in July 2002. I completed compulsory internship in the next year and passed the state exam in July 2003. I started my specialization in internal medicine at the Sisters of Mercy University Hospital Centre in 2003, and passed my specialist exam on February 26th, 2008. Since passing the specialist exam, I have been working as a department physician at the Department for Cardiovascular Medicine of the Internal Medicine Clinic of the Sisters of Mercy. In 2012, I passed the subspecialty exam in the field of cardiology. My field of expertise, besides internal medicine and general cardiology are arrhythmology and cardiac pacing. In the field of cardiac arrhythmology and pacing, I have been educated in cardiology centres in Bratislava, Slovakia and Debrecen, Hungary, and on six short specialized courses in Lausanne, Switzerland and Frankfurt, Germany. In 2010, I completed my Postgraduate Study, Biomedicine and Health at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb and in 2011 I defended my PhD dissertation entiteled “Asymptomatic atrial fibrillation in patients with a pacemaker”. I have actively participated in a number of national and international meetings and congresses (four lectures at international congresses). I have published twelve articles in cited publications, of which six are cited in the Current Contents database.
